Untung Jawa island is a small island and populated.

The island is located in the west of Jakarta Bay.  

To reach this island we can go through three places: Muara Angke Port Jakarta, Tanjung Pasir Tangerang and Marina Beach Ancol Jakarta.

On Top of the Speedboat

At this time, our trip to Untung Jawa island, we took the route from Marina Beach Ancol dock Jakarta.  

Jakarta Provincial Government operates a speedboat named KMP Lumba-Lumba to serve trip from Jakarta to several large islands in Kepulauan Seribu such, Untung Jawa Island, Tidung Island, Bidadari Island, etc.

The trip from Marina Ancol Beach Pier to Untung Java takes for about 30 minutes.

Ticket prices of the speedboat Rp. 25.000, - for one trip. Speedboat depart from Marina Beach Ancol dock to Untung Jawa island is 07:00 AM to 09:00 AM daily and from Untung Jawa island to the Marina Beach Ancol is 14:00 PM to 17:00 PM daily. So do not miss this schedule.

If you have no plan to stay, please immediately buy tickets fast boat to return Marina Ancol beach once you get Untung Jawa island.

In this island, visitors can enjoy natural objects such us mangrove forests and natural beaches.  


Visitors can swim at the beach with small waves and soft white sand. You can also rent the air tires for Rp. 4.000,- for playing water and float on the waves of the beach.

Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah (MAJT) / Masjid Semarang is one of the greatest mosques in Indonesia.  

MAJT with beautiful architecture was built in Friday, 6^th September 2002  and completed in 14^th November 2006.  

Mosque complex consists of the main building area of ​​7669 m2 and 7500 m2 area of ​​the yard. Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah is located on the Gajah Raya street, Desa Sambirejo, Kecamatan Gayamsari, Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia.

All Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah visitors will be treated to the unique architecture of the mosque which is blend of Javanese, Romans and Arab architecture.  

Javanese architecture is seen in the bottom of the pole using traditional motif such as Tumpal, Untu Walang, Kawung, and Parang-Parangan.

Architectural features of the Middle East (Arabic) are seen on the walls of the mosque which are decorated with calligraphy.

Another uniqueness of this mosque there are 6 giant hydraulic umbrellas which can open and close automatically.  


This is an adoption of Masjid Nabawi architectural building in Medina Saudi Arabia.

The mosque also slightly influenced by the style of Roman architecture. The style was apparent in interior design and color layer attached to the corners of the building.

The mosque can accommodate about 15,000 pilgrims was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, in 14^th November 2006.

Inauguration ceremony was marked by the signing of the stone inscriptions as high as 3.2 meters and a weight of 7.8 tons which is located in front of the mosque.

The inscription is made of natural stone from the slopes of Mount Merapi. Aside from being a place of worship, the Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah is also an integrated tourism education, religion, education center and activity center symbols of Islam.

In the mosque complex is well equipped and crafty by the 18 floors tower named Husna Asmaul Tower. Asmaul Husna Tower contained Museum of Islamic Development in Central Java at 2^nd and 3^rd Floor, and the best view in restaurant in the city of Semarang in 18^th Floor. 

For visitors who need stay in mosque complex, there are available hotel named Hotel Agung in the north side of this complex.

Vehicle enthusiasts spoiled with a main exhibition of classic cars Otoblitz International Classic Car Show (OICC-Show).

 The 5th OICC-Show 2011 is held from 16 to 18 December 2011 at Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia.

The theme of this classic car exhibition is Classic for All, All for The Classic.

This classic car exhibition is the largest exhibition in South East Asia.

Exhibition building is designed in such a way to spoil the visitors who come to enjoy the beauty of classic cars on display with a comfortable way.

Location Coban Rondo waterfall is located on the slopes of Gunung Kawi, Malang Regency which, according to forest administration in the region entered KPH (Unity Pemangkuan Forest) Perhutani office Malang. Meanwhile, according to government administration, Coban Rondo located in the Village Pandesari, District Pujon, Malang Regency.

Meaning of Coban Rondo Coban is local language means Waterfall and Rondo means Widow so Coban Rondo means Widow Waterfall. The name itself refers to the legend story of a beautiful wife who had just married and widowed by her husband who died in a fight.

Season and geographical conditions Average rainfall is 1721 mm / yr, with a wet month in November to March and dry season in April through October with an average temperature of 22 ° C. Coban Rondo Waterfall has a height of 84 meters, located at an altitude of 1135 meters above sea level. 

Debit waterfalls in the rainy season 150 liters / sec and dry season 90 liters / sec.  

My Beautiful Trip Experience

I do not plan ahead, during my visit to Coban Rondo. Incidentally on the way home from Jember to Bogor I stopped by Batu Malang to stay one night just enjoy the coolness of the city and its attractions. I will share my trip experience in Kota Batu Malang to you later.

From Batu Malang to Jombang, we passed Pujon District. Not more than one hour we have reached District Pujon where the Coban Rondo waterfall is located.

I took time to visit this place to remember my first visit seven years ago. Road access into the site Coban Rondo waterfall is paved smooth so that private vehicles could pass through the entrance to the waterfall. Lodging, playground, outbound area is already available.

For those interested to stay overnight and enjoy the feel of the forest is the right place.

Souvenir shops selling knick-knacks, t-shirts, wall hangings neatly arranged near the entrance to Coban Rondo. You can buy for a souvenir as a reminder you've been visit to this resort. Admission price to enter the Coban Rondo is not more than Rp. 10,000, - (USD 1).

From the entrance gate, we had to walk down the path as far as 200 meters.

If you are lucky, a bunch of wild apes will approach you to ask for food along the way, is really an interesting experience.

Fatigue relieved when he saw the water spills from the top of the waterfall plunge.

A gust of wind would carry water droplets make the atmosphere more amazing.

Karimunjawa Island is part Jepara Regency, Central Java Province Indonesia.

Located closed to Java island, 83 km north. It can be reached by ferry boat for about 3 hours from Kartini Port Jepara or 3,5 hours from Tanjung Emas Port Semarang (Capital city of Central Java).

Karimunjawa itself is an island chain consist of 27 total island, only 5 of them are populated and mostly by traditional fisherman, that’s make the territory more sensational and natural to be visited.



Karimunjawa is preserved marine national park, there is no doubt to show you how beautiful and amazing to be enjoyed especially for people who need to escape from the crowded and frustrating high speed city life.

Arriving at the dock Karimunjawa we will immediately greeted by the sight of aclean and beautiful beaches with white sand stretching along the coast. It's amazing, making the boat trip which was long felt relieved in an instant.

Time to look for lodging, after looking around, finally I decided to stay at the inn named Laguna Biru at a cost of Rp. 250.000,- (USD. 25)  per night.
Lodging facilities are air conditioning, bathrooms, beds, television, fan, last but not least get a coupon for free breakfast for two person.

The facility is more than enough for me cause my purpose visit Karimunjawa is enjoy the atmosphere of the beach, sea and beautiful scenery not to lie down and relax at the lodge.

We hurried around Karimunjawa sea with the ship to see the houses in the middle of the sea called Wisma Apung.

We can stay here to see, touch and play with starfish and sharks. It's really an amazing experience.

Wisma Apung is just a hundred meters from the beach Karimunjawa, travel there takes only fifteen minutes.

For those who like snorkeling and diving, Karimunjawa is the right place.

You can mingle with 242 different fish species as well as 133 genera of aquatic fauna.

Due to time constraints I can only enjoy snorkeling and feeding the fish with crusty bread.

Do not forget to bring bread to feed the fish, you will be very sorry if you forgot it.



Early morning I was tried to see the sunrise from one side of the beach belongs to Hotel Nirvana.

Unfortunately the sky was overcast, I could not enjoy the sunrise, so I'm looking for interesting places to take photos for the album memories and share it to all of you.

In Karimunjawa we can also enjoy views of the city, ocean and beach by walking up the hill.

Fatigue and droplets of sweat will heal when we get to the point of view on the hill.


The coastline stretching white sand dotted with blue water meets very remedy, indeed.

It was time to end a day trip in Karimunjawa, it feels like to be back to enjoy the beauty, hospitality, natural touch that I have not visited due to time constraints.
